Going away on vacation/business and not sure what to do with your fur baby? Look no further.

The Durban Dog Hotel is not your usual dog boarding service. We are a home away from home that caters for fur babies on our couches and in our beds. Your doggo will have a surrogate mom or dad to care for them throughout their stay and will even share a nice comfy double bed at night with this dog crazy person.

DOGS ARE SEPARATED INTO PACKS ACCORDING TO SIZE AND ENERGY LEVEL.

Dont worry your Toy pom will never bump into a robust great dane.

Home away from home for pampered pooches (they even accept my goldfish), wonderful care and attention to detail. They send photos of your doggie every day and advise re any medical problems as they arise. Excellent service so you can really relax on holiday.

My boy Storm had soo much fun at the Durban Dog Hotel. We were looking for a good and friendly place for our boy stay and be well cared for and we found the best place for him. I received lots of pics showing how much of fun Strom was having. It's an absolutely wonderful place and my boy was well cared for that was the main concern we had. Within no time of dropping off Ranger at DDH I had already received photos and videos of him settling in. I got updates every few hours and I could see that he was having a wonderful time and being taken care of with such love and warmth. I am not sure he wanted to come home! I will definitely be taking him there again. I can see he had such a good time. When I fetched him he was happy and relaxed.

Lily had the time of her life during her stay at the DDH. It's so comforting knowing that your fur baby is having the best time while you have to be away. The daily pictures and "pupdates" gave us life. She really didn't want to leave her new Hooman and doggo friends. We will definitely be bringing Lily back whenever we can

Founder & Owner

Sonseirai Van Heerden

Sonseirai is the owner and founder of The Durban Dog Hotel, a 5 star establishment which offers cage free accommodation, doggie daycare and so much more. Sonseirai has studied psychology and dog psychology for a total of over 15 years and possesses 2 degrees. She has integrated over 50 000 dogs into packs and currently has a 100% success rate for behavior modification in her one on one cases.

 
Sonseirai was placed in the top 5 female entrepreneurs for 2017 and she and her hotel have been featured in over 10 individual newspapers and magazines, including a front page article in the Upper Highway mail.
 
Sonseirai has a team of collectively over 30 staff and has provided training for each one that has enabled The Durban Dog Hotel to become a radical success.
 
Sonseirai is married with a son and 8 dogs of her own and she has several rescue dogs in her foster care whilst they wait for their forever homes.

I consider myself a pioneer and entrepreneur who started the Durban Dog hotel with Sonserai. My vision and approach to leadership has often taken the hotel to new levels. Through my marketing I have seen the business blossom into what it is today. I have pioneered projects all over the world and have finally settled in my beloved SA. ​I am a proud mom and wife to Sonseirai and am greatly excited for the future of the DDH and of our family together
